I tried more than ever to apply perspective for the city scape. I also tried to give a feeling of depth by putting in a floating car and bridges that overlap one another. The color scheme for the city was ment to create a sense of hight and the feeling of shrinking. I'm not very happy with the left portion of this piece manily because it makes both sides apper dream like when one of them has to real.
this is an interesting iteration of your concentration. i'm kind of confused by the monsters and the cityscape as to whether the emphasis of the imaginary world is on the monsters or the city scape. but i like that you added the bathroom in the background as it makes the real part more realistic and it gives it a scene to ground it in.
ReplyDeleteSarah- well done and this is a more visually complex idea than your last few peices. I agree with Mary that I am not sure about the monsters in the room? I would recommend working back into the cityscape to redefine edges and intensify color to show it as a dream or fantasy.
